What You’ve Been Praying For Is Knocking at the Door

Message by Apostle Kelker Jan 5 2025

What You’ve Been Praying For… Is Already at the Door

Congregation worshipping during Sunday service at Fresh Wind Community Church in Las Vegas

Are you looking for a Bible-based church in Las Vegas where prayer is more than a ritual and the presence of God is real? At Fresh Wind Community Church, we don’t just talk about faith—we expect God to move in real time.

In a recent Holy Spirit-filled Sunday service, Pastor Kelker released a prophetic word that gripped the room:

What you’ve been praying for is knocking at the door.

This wasn’t hype.It was a call to discernment, readiness, and response.

Preaching, Intercession, and the Real Intercessor

We were reminded that preaching is for the unbeliever—but intercession is the work of believers partnering with the Holy Spirit.

Even with our “saved and sanctified” selves, the Bible says:

“We don’t know how to pray as we ought.”

So God gave us help: the Holy Spirit, the true Intercessor. He takes our broken, unfinished prayers and carries them to the Father in alignment with His will.

At Fresh Wind, when we pray together as a church, we’re not just reciting words. We’re agreeing with heaven, allowing the Spirit to pray through us.

2025: The Year That Snaps the Fake

Pastor Kelker shared a sobering, prophetic insight:

“2025 is not going to allow you to pretend. The weight of this year will snap anything fake.”

This is not a season for performance Christianity.

  • If your tongues aren’t from God, this year will expose it.

  • If your praise is only for show, this year will test it.

  • If your relationship with God has been distant and casual, this year will confront it.

This isn’t a threat—it’s mercy.God is preparing His people to stand when pressure hits.

“I Am the Door” – Jesus and Your Door

From John 10:9, Jesus declares:

“I am the door.”

This isn’t just poetic language:

  • “I AM” is God’s own name.

  • “The Door” means access, safety, and direction.

Pastor unpacked something simple but powerful:The word door can be heard as “do or”.

A door always demands a decision:Do you stay?Do you move?Do you obey?Or do you remain stuck?

Many of us are not under attack so much as we are living with the consequences of walking out of the wrong door in the wrong season. But the grace of God will let you walk back in… so you can find the right one.

Behold, He Stands at the Door and Knocks

Revelation 3:20 came alive in a fresh way:

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock.”

We often pray, “Lord, come in.”But Jesus said: “You let Me in.”

At Fresh Wind, we were reminded:

  • Praise unlocks the door.

  • Worship signals, “You’re welcome here.”

  • Obedience swings it wide open.

If praise and worship feel optional, we will miss the knock.

When the Church Prays: Chains Fall, Doors Open

From Acts 12, we looked at Peter in prison—chained, surrounded by 16 soldiers, guarded behind iron gates.

The church began to pray for him without ceasing. Not soft, casual prayers—but soul-wringing intercession.

As they prayed:

  • An angel (the “angel of the Lord”) appeared in the cell.

  • Light shined in the prison.

  • Peter was struck on the side and sat up.

  • His chains fell off.

  • Locked gates opened on their own accord.

Pastor made a key point:

The chains didn’t fall off the soldiers. They stayed with the ones who were not assigned to walk in freedom.

In the same way, certain things attached to you now—fear, cycles, people, habits—will not be allowed to follow you through the next door God is opening.

Four Doors God Uses in a Season

Pastor Kelker also taught about different kinds of “doors” God releases:

  1. Governmental DoorsDoors of authority—where you rule over what once ruled you.

  2. Sanctuary DoorsDoors into deeper presence, peace, and spiritual safety.

  3. Private DoorsDoors where God deals with you, your family, and your relationships away from public opinion.

  4. Temple / Treasury DoorsDoors connected to kingdom provision—where God supplies all your need according to His riches in glory.

Each door has a timing, a sound, and a purpose.

What You’ve Been Praying For Is Knocking

This was the heart of the message:

What you’ve been praying for is not lost. It’s knocking.

Not someday.Not “if God remembers.”Now.

The question is no longer:

  • “Is God going to do it?”

The question is:

  • “Will I open when it knocks?”

  • “Will I recognize the sound?”

  • “Will I respond or stay seated?”

At the altar, people weren’t just seeking “a feeling”—they were agreeing with God:

“Lord, give me ears to hear the knock.Give me courage to open the door.Don’t let immaturity or fear answer for me anymore.”
